Larry enlisted in the Army after high school and served on active duty at Ft. Bragg, after his active duty time he transferred to the Guard and later completed Officer Candidate School at the North Carolina Military Academy. He eventually joined the Active Guard Reserve Program with the North Carolina National Guard and held a variety of positions until his retirement after 27 years of total service. He is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, and lives in Durham with his wife Cristi and two daughters Lindsey and Alyssa. He served as the Executive Director of the North Carolina National Guard Association. Larry volunteered as the former commander of the North Carolina Veterans Council and now serves as secretary. He also volunteers at his local VFW Post.

Jeri Graham
Treasurer
Jeri retired from the Army in 2002 after 24 years’ service. She joined the Army at 35, earned the Air Assault Badge, the Expert Field Medical Badge and as a Nurse-Midwife, she helped to bring hundreds of future veterans into this world. With many assignments as a Chief Nurse to include Walter Reed Army Medical Center she then had her last assignment was as the CDR of the hospital at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, then moved to Wilmington, joined a MOAA chapter and later became the NC Council President. She became a member and then Vice CDR of the NCVC. She has been very busy advocating for currently serving, veterans, and their families at the state and federal level. She serves on the MOAA BoD. Jeri and Ed live in Apex and have a blended family of 6 children, 14 grands and 2 great grands.
